Have you successfully potty-trained a puppy before, please explain below. *Please understand that if you work full-time potty training may take longer. If you work full-time and have young children you will need to exercise patience and be consistent because your time is greatly divided making potty training more challenging. Stay-at-home parents also have their work cut out for them managing potty training and young children. Please be consistent, use positive reinforcement, do your research on the best methods and be patient. *______________________
Do you have a fenced in yard? If you answered NO then briefly explain your plan for potty breaks and exercise *___________________________
How many hours will the puppy be alone each day and do you have a plan in place for the puppy to have stimulation and activity if you work all day? Please explain briefly. *____________________

Children do not make the best helpers when it comes to taking care of pets (I know, I raised five of them). They can help with adult supervision but a pet is the adult’s responsibility. If you want to teach your child responsibility then give them household chores such as dusting or dishes. Forgetting to do the dishes is entirely different than forgetting to feed, water or potty a PET. This is also an unfair responsibility to place on a child. *

You will be signing a spay/neuter contract. I sell to pet homes only. I require the puppy to be spayed/neutered between 7 to 12 months old. Who is your veterinarian or intended veterinarians NAME and NUMBER? *Routine veterinarian care, a healthy diet and regular exercise makes for healthy pets and a longer lifespan.*_____________
In order to secure a puppy I require a $400.00 deposit to hold the puppy. DEPOSIT AGREEMENT: I (Daphne Riggs) understand that sometimes it does not work out and the BUYER cannot get a puppy as planned. In this case, if the buyer does change their mind or something happens prior to the birth of the puppy -- the buyer can move to a future litter or HALF the deposit is refundable. HOWEVER, if the buyer decides to back out after the puppy is born then the deposit will not be refunded. *The only time the deposit is fully refundable is if the buyer came for a visit and my home/Schnauzers are not to the standard I have set on this website or if the litter the buyer placed a deposit on does not have the gender or color (s) that the buyer requested. Buyer understands the deposit agreement and terms--SIGN your FULL name. *__________________
The remaining balance is $1100 (for a total of $1500 for a puppy). REMAINING BALANCE AGREEMENT: The remaining balance is DUE before the puppy turns four weeks old if the buyer placed the deposit prior to the birth of the puppy. Exceptions: If the buyer places a deposit after the puppy has been born then the remaining balance is due when the buyer picks up their puppy, in CASH. I ONLY accept checks for deposits and payments prior to six weeks old. If the buyer purchases the puppy after six weeks of age I need cash on the day the puppy goes home -- NO checks and NO EXCEPTIONS. Buyer understands the remaining balance owed agreement and payment options--TYPE your FULL name.*__________________
VISIT AND PICK-UP DATE AGREEMENT: For the families who can visit prior to taking their puppy home—this is done at six weeks old on a Saturday ONLY and I will schedule the visit in advance. My puppies go to their new homes at eight weeks old. I always schedule this date on a Saturday ONLY. Make sure that you have worked ahead with your schedule so that you can get your puppy on the scheduled time and date. I will let you know this date/time asap. I typically have families come from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm and I schedule these times in advance. I do this so that I do not have people coming on several different days throughout the week (I do have a family and activities outside of breeding). When you visit, you will meet all of my Schnauzers. For the families who live too far away I do not require a visit prior to pick-up—I prefer the least amount of unnecessary foot-traffic in my home as possible to keep a safe and disease free home. If you live too far away to come in person—I will either pick for you (If you would like for me too) or provide a video, picture and advice to help you pick if there is an option.
